She always liked doing crafting of all kinds and making Christmas decorations. She enjoyed making blankets and quilts that she gave away to the homeless, the headstart program, and family members. She also owned and operated B&M Services in Walthill for about 10 years.
Leona did bookkeeping and was a school cook for several years. After his death she moved to Homer to be close to family. She married Robert “Bob” Bartling and to this union three children were born, Lonny, Morry, and Dorla. Leona was born the daughter of Lester and Dorothy (Fisher) Freese on Jin Sioux Falls, South Dakota. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, Octoat 6:30 PM at the Homer United Methodist Church. Kendall, 94 of Homer, Nebraska passed away Monday, October 10, 2022.
